Tip: Quick search ImageIQ analyzed images directly in Aperture

ImageIQ analysis data is stored directly into Aperture's metadata. Each analyzed image has a custom metadata field called ImageIQ. To view this field select the info inspector and use the drop down menu to select "Custom Fields". You will now see the ImageIQ signature for any selected image.

You can search for images with this exact same image using Aperture's search bar simply by typing the ImageIQ signature number in. ImageIQ does not need to be running at all to use this.

What you will get is a limited result set as compared to using ImageIQ to do the search. That is to say, only images with the exact same signature can be found. Searching within the ImageIQ program itself compensates for image rotations and can find images whose signatures are different. Nevertheless, it's still a cool quick way to do a search.
